Full name: Higure Yamitarō [日暮闇太郎]
Nicknames: Mr.Higsby, Chip Otaku
Gender: Male
Age: Early 30s

Personality + Likes/Dislikes:
- Higure is a really nice dude. He always wants well for others, even those he doesn't even know. ...maybe an exception for bad guys though of course.
- He is on the other hand a bit of a pushover. He isn't particularly brave in general, but can do big deeds when someone dear to him needs him.
- He is very passionate with Battle Chips and could talk for hours about them before realizing he's boring them out.
- He reaaaaaaaally doesn't like Masa/Maysa, as he always got in his way of winning Mariko's/Ms. Mari's heart. Therefore he ain't a big fan of fish or other sea creatures.

Background:
Higure comes from a rich family named Matsumoto. One could say that if they haven't gone bankrupt, they could have challenged the Ijuuin & the Ayanokoji houses. But well, things went downwards for this family and they ended up having to live like the majority of the towns people. However, the families bankrupty happened when Higure was in his double digits, so he still got to live in a comfortable lifestyle.

As a child, Higure was teached at home. He had no friends whatsoever, and his parents were busy keeping their businesses going. This lead to Higure growing restless during teaching and pretty much ignored most of what he was told. One of the biggest problems was his lack of math knowledge, and this of course worried his parents as they had thought that Higure would get everything when he grew up, and having no math knowledge and leading several big companies... ooh, bad combination.

So they hired a new teacher for him, one that they hoped he would like. Though the lack of a friend still kept Higure from focusing on homework, this fact had still been ignored, or simply missed, by his parents.

They went through possibly four or five teachers before they felt things was just impossible. Then Mrs. Matsumoto showed Mr. Matsumoto an article of NetNavis: A computerized AI that one could now preorder. Without hesitating they made an order for a NetNavi specialized in Math and general teaching.

A couple of weeks later, the package with a PET of the first design and the software for the NetNavi arrived, conveniently close to Higure's birthday.
As Higure opened his present, he was mighty surprised to be greeted by the present whom introduced itself as Numberman and told Higure he would be his teacher and friend from now on.

The two was strangers at first, it was odd for Higure to talk, listen and following orders from a program, but as time went on, the two grew closer to each others, and with the lack of actual parenting, Numberman took care of Higure when he was sad as well. Eventually Higure saw up to Numberman as a kind of father, though never told the NetNavi this.

But when the family fell into bankrupty, they were in desperate need of money to pay the rent of their new home, a casual house, when Mr. Matsumoto tried to take Numberman from him, that Higure said he couldn't take his "father" from him. This caused Mr. Matsumoto to ventilate some of his hidden anger upon his son. When Mrs. Matsumoto had successfully calmed him down, Mr. Matsumoto realized what he had done and said he would give Higure a safer home instead.

Next month, 2 years after the Matsumoto house's fall, Higure was put in a new home, the Yamitarō's. They were a normal family, already with a son, about the same age as Higure, and they grew to love Higure & Numberman like they had been part of the family the whole time.

Higure got into the whole NetBattling issue in his teenage years, when NetNavis grew more casual and more fellow students got them. Being the first having one in school, Higure was a popular request to battle with. Though Higure's lack of leadership and battle skills caused him and Numberman to be more of a pushover than a challenge. This caused Higure to grow depressed, at least until he got his hands on a rare chip (by those days standards), the YoYo. With this new Battle Chip, they dominated the school with the powerful Battle Chip. And from that day on, Higure wanted more rare and powerful Battle Chips.

When reaching adulthood, Higure got accepted into Scilab together with a friend, but was later fired for trying to take a couple of Battle Chips home.
Higure desperately tried to earn a living and extra money to buy his beloved rare chips. He worked at a sushi bar, a panchiko hall, a book store, you name it, he worked there.

Before the events of Battle Network 1, Higure worked at a Battle Chip store as a cleaner, but he had to run away as he got a relapse. During his escape, he met a shadowy figure whom brought him to safety and said these words: "So you like Battle Chips? Why don't you join organization WWW then? You could have /any/ Battle Chip you want."
Higure didn't give it a second thought, he joined up in this organization, not caring wheter it was evil or not, all he cared for was to get his Battle Chips.

The rest about Higure...? Go and play MMBN or watch the anime. Or do both. ; P

Background = TL;DR?
- Higure originally came from a rich family.
- He sees up to Numberman like a father.
- He was sent to a new family after being beaten up by his real father.
- He grew obsessed with rare Battle Chips after owning his class mates with one.
- He got used by WWW because he was so greedy for rare Battle Chips.

His apartment:
- It's in the suburbs
- It's a couple of floors up
- It's made for one person to live in
- It's a kitchen, bath room + one living room, no bed, just a bed sofa
- It has a killing view over the remaining of the city
- Higure have no idea why it's so cheap someone probably died in it

Characters he have met:
NumbermanEXE - His beloved NetNavi and father figure.

Navi-Reaper-Riff - A nice female NetNavi whom was the first Higure met in this place. He knows about her being a NetNavi and finds it okay, for obvious reasons. She helped him find an apartment to live in and is forever grateful for it, want to of course repay her for it someday. Also have the possibility to call her through his PET incase he gets into trouble. *coughAndromedacough

Little-Trill - A little child-like NetNavi he met at least once back in the world he originally came from. He didn't really know Trill back then, but he do find the little bugger adorable. Especially when laughing. :>
Darkness turned to light and Higure sat up to find himself in a pile of leaves. One of his hands reached for the bump on his head and he moaned. "What happened, huh?" He asked himself, looking around confused. All he could remember was that he was spying on Ms. Mari from the roof of his shop. Higure made an assumption he had taken a false trip and fell of the roof and knocked himself unconscious. ...that however didn't explain why he was in an open field. Higure reached for his PET along his belt to ask his beloved NetNavi where they were, but when he saw the black screen it was like a stone was dropped upon his chest. "D-don't tell me I b

Hi Higsby! A pleasure to meet you! *shakes hands* I've just met and spoke to your Net Navi, NumberMan. You guys are awesome! :excited:
Higure looks rather shocked from the sudden apperance of another person whom greets on him so warmly that he almost lost his words. But upon the mentioning of his NetNavi, Higure recovers.
"Y-you've met up with Numberman, huh? Where is he? Is he alright?"
Higure was so caught up in the Numberman part that he kind of lost the compliment on the way.
Sorry if I scare ya. ^^;

Anyways, NumberMan is on this page :iconnumbermanexe: .

How are you Higs? =)
"Oh. How awkward, I must have missed him, huh. Things have been well lately, huh. I've gotten an apartment, and with Numberman around things can't get better, huh. ...well, maybe if I got, a job things could be a bit better, huh."
Hello there, soldier~!
Do I know you? ^___^
Higure looked at the little eskimo kid. He certainly looked familiar to him.
"Good day, huh." Higure replied. He gave a friendly laughter upon the question. "No, I don't think we've met, huh. Though you do look familiar, huh. Anyway, the name's Higure Yamitarō, but if you like, you can call me Higsby, huh."
Higure reached forward for a hand shake.
*shakes hand happily* I'm DLN005 Ice Man,
but Ice Man for short.

Nice to meet you, soldier.
